Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how personal data and other information are handled when you visit Calculator-Convert, use its calculators and converters, submit an error report, or contact us. It applies to the website and all of its language versions.

In this Policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Rolmyr SRL.

2. Calculator inputs, files and results

Most Calculator-Convert tools perform their calculations in your browser using the numbers, dates, text and settings you enter. Entering a value does not create a public profile or automatically send an error report.

Some tools can process a file locally, for example by extracting colours from an image in your browser. When a tool explicitly offers local processing, selecting the file does not upload it to our server through that tool. A download, printout or copied result is stored wherever you choose and is then under your control.

Some tools use localStorage or similar browser storage to remember preferences, settings or recent results. These items remain on your device until you clear them, the tool replaces or removes them, or your browser deletes its site data. Someone using the same browser profile may be able to see them.

A sharing feature may encode selected values or settings in the URL. Anyone who receives the complete link may be able to read or recreate those values. Information after a “#” is normally not included in the initial request to our server, but it remains visible to the browser, scripts on the page and anyone who receives the link. Query-string information may also appear in technical request logs. Do not use sharing links for confidential information.

3. Error reports and correspondence

When you use Report an error, we receive the reported page URL, your message and the fields needed for the anti-spam check. The URL may be filled in automatically from the page you were viewing, but you can edit it before submitting.

The reporting system stores the message, reported URL, submission time, page language and browser user-agent information. Administrators may add a status, priority, internal notes and an update time. Reports are private WordPress records and are not published as comments. The form does not require a name or email address. If you put personal data in the message, it becomes part of the report.

The form uses a local arithmetic challenge, a signed verification value, a hidden spam-trap field, duplicate detection and an IP-based rate limit. The rate-limit and duplicate keys are configured to expire after approximately one hour. The rate-limit key is a keyed hash derived from the IP address; this does not prevent the web server and security systems from receiving the IP address as part of the request.

If you contact us by email, we receive your email address, message, attachments and any other information you choose to provide. Please do not send passwords, card information, medical records or confidential information about another person.

4. Technical data, security logs and statistics

When your browser requests a page, image, script or other resource, the systems delivering the website receive technical information needed to respond. This may include the IP address, requested URL, date and time, browser and operating-system information, referring page, language and response status. We use this information to deliver the website, diagnose faults, protect it against abuse and maintain its security. IP addresses and online identifiers may be personal data.

WP Statistics

We use WP Statistics to understand page visits and general traffic patterns through an endpoint on calculator-convert.com. The service may process page and visit information such as the requested page, referrer, browser or device details and network information received by the server. We use these statistics to improve content, find technical problems and identify unusual traffic. We do not ask you to enter your calculator values into WP Statistics.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to measure how visitors find and use the website. Depending on the active settings and your privacy choices, Google Analytics may process information such as viewed pages, approximate location, referrer, device and browser details, interaction events and online identifiers. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, calculator entries or error-report messages to Google Analytics.

Google Analytics is provided by Google. Google explains its processing and available controls in its Privacy Policy and Analytics data-safeguarding information. You can also use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Where applicable law requires consent for Analytics cookies or similar technologies, the relevant legal basis is consent, which you may withdraw for future processing.

Google AdSense and advertising

We use Google AdSense, an advertising service provided by Google, to display advertisements on the website. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on a visitor’s previous visits to this website or other websites. Google’s advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to show personalized, non-personalized or limited ads, depending on the visitor’s choices, location, applicable law and available settings.

Advertising processing may include the IP address, device and browser information, general location, the page viewed, interactions with ads and cookie or other online identifiers. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, calculator inputs or error-report messages to Google AdSense. Read the Google Privacy Policy and Google’s explanation of how advertising cookies are used. Where consent is required, optional advertising storage and ad personalization are controlled by the visitor’s choice in the website’s consent interface.

5. Cookies and browser storage

You can inspect, block or delete cookies and site storage in your browser. You can change or withdraw optional analytics and advertising consent through the website’s privacy settings; if that control is unavailable, delete this site’s consent cookies and reload the page. You may also manage personalized advertising in Google’s Ads Settings. Blocking necessary storage may reset the selected language or saved tool settings.

6. Purposes and legal grounds

Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, we rely on the following grounds as appropriate:

• Legitimate interests: delivering a reliable website, securing it, diagnosing errors, preventing abuse, improving tools and content, and handling voluntary error reports or correspondence. We consider these interests against the rights and reasonable expectations of visitors.
• Consent: optional analytics cookies, device access or other optional processing where consent is required by law. Consent can be withdrawn without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
• Legal obligation: retaining or disclosing information where applicable law requires it.
• Legal claims: establishing, exercising or defending legal claims where necessary.

7. Service providers and recipients

We disclose information only where needed for the purposes described in this Policy. Recipient categories may include:

• Hostinger, which provides hosting and related infrastructure. See Hostinger’s Privacy Policy.
• Google, which provides Google Analytics as described above.
• jsDelivr, which supplies software resources used on some pages, including resources that help display mathematical formulas. When your browser fetches such a resource, jsDelivr receives request information such as the IP address and browser details. See jsDelivr’s privacy information.
• Professional advisers, competent authorities or other parties where disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect legal rights and website security.

External websites reached through a link have their own privacy practices. Their privacy notices apply after you leave Calculator-Convert.

8. International data transfers

Some service providers may process personal data in countries outside Romania or the European Economic Area. Where the GDPR requires safeguards for such a transfer, we and the relevant provider rely on an applicable legal transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or approved standard contractual clauses. 9. How long information is kept

We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably needed for the relevant purpose, taking account of security, operational and legal requirements:

• The language cookie normally remains for approximately one year; local tool data remains until it is cleared or replaced on your device.
• Error-report anti-spam rate-limit and duplicate keys are configured to expire after approximately one hour, subject to normal system cleanup.
• Error reports are kept while the problem is investigated and for a reasonable period afterwards when they may help identify a recurring issue, then deleted when no longer needed.
• Correspondence is kept until the request is resolved and for any reasonable follow-up, record-keeping or legal period.
• Analytics records, server and security logs, and backups are retained according to their configured retention or rotation periods and are deleted, overwritten or de-identified when they are no longer needed, except where a specific security incident or legal obligation requires longer retention.

10. Your privacy rights

Depending on the law that applies, you may have the right to request access to personal data about you, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent for future processing where processing relies on consent.

Send requests to office@calculator-convert.com. Include enough information to help us locate the relevant record, such as the approximate date and subject of an email or error report. We may request proportionate information to verify identity. We normally respond to GDPR requests within one month; the period may be extended where the GDPR permits, and we will explain such an extension.

Values stored only in your browser cannot normally be retrieved by us. You can remove them using the tool’s controls or your browser’s site-data settings.

You also have the right to complain to a competent supervisory authority, including the authority where you live or work or where you believe an infringement occurred. The European Data Protection Board lists EEA supervisory authorities.

11. Children and information about other people

Some calculators include child-related estimates intended for use by a parent, guardian or responsible adult. The tools do not require a child’s name, account or medical record. Do not include identifying or sensitive information about a child or another person in an error report, email or shared link unless it is necessary and lawful to do so.

If you believe a child has sent us personal data that should be removed, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

12. Security and changes to this Policy

We use access controls and technical and organisational measures intended to protect website information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so use non-sensitive example data whenever practical.

We may update this Policy when the website, its providers or legal requirements change. The date at the top identifies the current version. A Policy update is not treated as consent for a new activity where consent is legally required.
