Power Converter: W, kW, hp and BTU/h

Convert watts, kilowatts, horsepower and BTU/h with clear formulas. Compare power values, calculate energy over time and create your own conversion table.

10 / 10

Choose the units and enter a value. Results update immediately. Decimal commas and scientific notation are accepted; do not use thousands separators. Signed values are allowed for conversion only. Horsepower types use different definitions; an output power rating is not automatically electrical input power.

Custom conversion table

The table uses the source and destination units selected above. Enter a starting value, a positive step and 1–100 rows. Results can be copied or exported as CSV; display rounding does not change the conversion factors.

Compare two power values

Both values are expressed in watts before comparison. Difference means B − A; percentage change is relative to A. If A is zero, a ratio and percentage change are undefined. No performance or efficiency ranking is inferred.

Formula and calculation

Energy over time

At constant power, E = P × t. kW measures power; kWh measures energy. Enter nonnegative power and time. The line is a constant-power model, not a prediction of changing real-world consumption. When time is zero, energy is zero.
