Adjust the macro split

Move any slider. The other two values rebalance automatically, so the total always remains 100%.

Total: 100%

How to interpret the result

The coloured ring shows the selected distribution, not one universally ideal diet. General adult AMDR reference ranges are 10–35% protein, 45–65% carbohydrate and 20–35% fat.

Grams are calculated from energy using 4 kcal per gram for protein, 4 kcal per gram for carbohydrate and 9 kcal per gram for fat. Food quality and overall dietary pattern still matter.

Macronutrient Calculator FAQ

Is this macro split ideal for everyone?

No. The profiles are practical examples within general adult reference ranges. Individual needs vary with health, training, preferences and clinical circumstances.

Why do the three sliders always total 100%?

Protein, carbohydrate and fat divide the selected calorie target. Rebalancing prevents an incomplete or double-counted energy plan.

Does each meal need the same macros?

No. The meal cards are a simple planning average. You can distribute food differently across the day while keeping the daily total in view.
